When it comes to decorating the baby room, my husband and I can’t decide if we should do the work ourselves or hire someone? Do you have any thoughts that will help us decide?

  As I see it, there are three approaches you could take for decorating the baby room – you could do the entire project yourself, hire someone to do it, or do part of the work yourself and hire out the more complicated tasks.

One of the best ways to decide if you’re up for such a challenge is to consider how extensive your baby room project really is. There’s a big difference between giving a room a face-lift and giving it a complete makeover. Chances are good you can handle the project if it doesn’t require special skills like laying down hardwood, doing electrical wiring or building a shelving unit.

That said you need to be able to commit to your decorating the baby room project and see it thru to the end. It’s important to understand the even though painting the walls may only take a weekend it could take several weeks to overhaul the entire space. You have to give some thought to how much free you have to devote to this project.
